State Awards and National Recognition

Mission Viejo High School has been recognized as a 2013 Exemplary Arts Program High School! This is in addition to being honored as a CA Distinguished School earlier this year. This is truly a wonderful honor for our school and the result of a genuinely outstanding arts program at MVHS!

The Washington Post recently listed America’s Most Challenging High School’s in the nation and state.  Based on the Washington Post’s Challenge Index MVHS is ranked #148 in the state and ranked #1102 in the country out of literally thousands of schools. No other District high school made the list.

Newsweek Magazine selected the 2013 “America’s Best High Schools” list.  Mission Viejo High School was ranked #75 in California and tops in the District.  Additionally, MVHS was ranked #520 nationally out of the 2000 high schools that qualified.
