School Choice Information

School Choice applications will be available in January to any parents wishing to request enrolling their son or daughter in Laguna Hills High School. Every parent submitting a School Choice application will receive a letter about the status of their application before the School Choice deadline.

After the School Choice application deadline has passed, parents requesting a school for their child (other than the school of residence) must submit an Intra-District transfer request (for SVUSD residents) or Inter-District transfer request (for non-SVUSD residents).

The SVUSD Transfer Committee will review all transfer requests after School Choice requests. Equal consideration will be given to both Intra-District and Inter-District transfer requests on the basis of space and staff availability.

In considering Laguna Hills High School as your school of choice, academically LHHS was home to 22 AP Scholars, 15 Scholars with Distinction, 14 AP Scholars with Honors and 1 National Scholar in 2005. This past year our overall numbers increased to 29 AP Scholars, 14 Scholars with Distinction, 23 AP Scholars with Honors, and 1 National Scholar. In athletics, our football team were 2005 and 2006 League Champs, and our wrestling team has had 19 consecutive League Championships and were CIF Champs in 2005 and 2006.
