Our school became distinguished in 1995. Our focus is Science and Technology. We have a wonderful science lab program that reaches all classes during the year. The focus is hands on experiments related to the grade level standards. Students observe, predict, and try to come to conclusions about the way the world works. Our reading, writing, listening, and speaking curriculum is enhanced by our science and technology focus. Students experience cultural Art, drama, and music throughout the year with field trips and assemblies sponsored by our PTO.
Lake Forest Dolphins
Our favorite animal, of course, is the Dolphin. We chose the Dolphin as our mascot when our school opened in September of l992. Dolphins like to play, hang out together, be curious and are amazing communicators. That's what we're like too!
Our school has a sixth grade band. They meet once a week for 50 min. The band instruments include: clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, and saxaphone.

Joanne is a true work of art with her violin. She has been playing the violin since fourth grade - 3 years.

Our wonderful garden provides us with lettuce and spinach that lets us have a salad party. Most students volunteer to bring in supplies like dressing, carrots, croutons, and olives. Many classes have salad luncheons.
