Dogpile Dogpile is a popular mestasearch site which was one of the pioneers of metasearching. It now offers the option of viewing results by relevance or by search engine; it also offers additional search terms by which to further refine results. Vivisimo's claim to fame is its clustered list of search results. It will not only pull out responses from multiple major search engines, but will also automatically organize or "cluster" the pages into meaningful categories. These clusters can serve to further narrow your original search. Kartoo A truly unique search tool, Kartoo presents the results of your search visually, interconnected by key words, which are, in turn, also searchable links. SurfWax Searches major search engines and displays results along with source site. Using the "SiteSnaps" feature, you can preview any page in the results and see where your terms appear in the document. |
