Coastline Regional Occupational Program (ROP)

Whether a student plans to go to college directly after high school graduation and/or go to work, job skills are critical for the future. ROP courses are designed to acquaint students with the skills needed in various careers, thus assisting them in choosing college majors and careers. ROP classes can help a student get the experience needed to obtain a first job, update existing skills, and help him/her qualify for a better job. Many courses include “hands-on” internships in business and industry.

ROP courses are offered in addition to a regular or minimum school day and offer 5-10 credits per semester. Priority is given to seniors, juniors, then sophomores. All students must take at least four non-ROP classes on the high school campus.
