High School Career Center Information


Your High School Career Center is a valuable resource in planning for college or a career pathway. Trained career specialists and many materials and services are available to answer students’ questions and assist them in planning for life after high school. Students should go to the Career Center frequently to gain information to make good decisions about their future choices.

Resources in the Career Center include:

· Catalogs, brochures, pamphlets, and applications for UC, CSU, Community and private colleges

· Career and occupational books, magazines, and pamphlets

· Computerized guidance systems (Bridges, etc.)

· Career and college videos

· Resources for job searching, resume writing, and interviewing techniques

· Registration materials for SAT, ACT, and ASVAB tests

· Financial aid and scholarship information and applications

· Vocation training opportunities, including ROP, internships, job shadowing, and trade/technical schools

· Community Service opportunities

· Job Opportunities

· Military information for all branches of the Armed Forces, including Service Academies and ROTC

· Work permits for students
