Founded in 1949 by the American Association of Teachers of French, The French Honor Society (La Societe Honoraire de Francais) is not only a club, but a treasured national society as well. This prestigious club, which encourages students to learn about the French language and lifestyle, honors students who have shown both enthusiasm and excellence in the course. To become a member, students must have maintained a B+ average (or higher) in at least 2 semesters of French, and must be a member of both the French and ESL clubs. Once a student has become a member of the society, they are required to complete at least 2 activities a semester for both French and ESL club. New members are sworn in during a ceremony in mid April. (Applications are available in Mme. Keith's room 113.)

The new year brings forth a whole new group of dedicated officers for the 2005-2006 school year: Kayla Schreiber (President), John Scherer (Vice President), Matt Cox (Treasurer), Nina Desai (Secretary), Kate Alessi and Jordan Baldonado (Photographers) Lisa Della Ripa, and of course the club's wonderful director Mme. Keith. The coming year promises to be a great one, full of fun and surprises. And remember: Parlez Francais!
