Sean Boulton, Principal
Mr. Boulton is beginning his second year as Principal of Laguna Hills high School, after having served as LHHS Assistant Principal of Guidance and Curriculum.
Originally from Southern California, Mr. Boulton attended Drury College in Springfield, Missouri where he earned an undergraduate degree in History as well as a Masters Degree in English Education. He went on to teach history and geography at Kickapoo High School in Springfield and returned to California to teach for the Los Angeles Unified School District at Mc Clay Middle School in Pacoima.
For the next seven years, Mr. Boulton was with the Newport-Mesa Unified School District; he taught at Ensign Intermediate School as an English teacher and Dean of Students and moved on to become Assistant Principal of Guidance, Athletics, and Discipline at Estancia High School.
While with Newport Mesa, Mr. Boulton earned his second master’s degree in Education Administration from Cal State Fullerton. Mr Boulton looks forward to working with all Laguna Hills High School teachers, students, and parents; he is committed to maintaining the high standards of excellence at the Home of the Hawks
Bill Hinds, Assistant Principal / Guidance and Curriculum
Meet Mr. Bill Hinds, our Assistant Principal in charge of Curriculum and
Guidance. Mr. Hinds is new to our school this year, having come from
Mission Viejo High School where he served in the position of the Director of
Student Activities for three years, Assistant Principal over Business and
Facilities for four years, and two years in charge of Curriculum and
Instruction. Prior to his administrative service, he taught Social Science
and Yearbook at Los Alisos Intermediate School. A family of teachers, Mr.
Hinds' wife teaches English at El Toro High School, his sister teaches
second grade in Texas, and his parents have both retired from teaching. A
product of the Saddleback Valley Unified School District himself, Mr. Hinds
takes a great deal of pride in helping students in the Guidance Department
and giving back to our school community.
Rick Pembrook, Assistant Principal / Student Discipline
Mr. Pembrook has been working in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District for nine years. Prior to arriving at SVUSD, he taught elementary school (3 years) and junior high school social studies and physical education (5 years). Mr. Pembrook spent his first three years at Laguna Hills High School as the Dean of Students prior to moving into the assistant principal position overseeing business, facilities, and athletics and is now back in his original position. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of the Pacific, teaching credential from California State University Long Beach, Master’s degree from United States International University, and has continued professional growth classes at the University of California, Irvine. Mr. Pembrook enjoys spending free time with family and friends.
Jake Haley, Assistant Principal / Business and Facilities
Mr. Haley is beginning his first year at Laguna Hills after serving four years as the Head Football coach and math teacher at El Toro High School. Prior to arriving at El Toro in 2005, Mr. Haley was a math teacher and football & basketball coach at Bainbridge High School, 8-miles west of Seattle. Mr. Haley received his administrative credential from City University in Tacoma, WA in 2004 and prior to this certificate received a Masters in Teaching from Grand Canyon University in June 2000. In his undergraduate work, Mr. Haley was a mathematics major and graduated with honors from Whitworth College in Spokane, WA. Mr. Haley is married to his wonderful wife Julie, has a daughter Makena and another child due in March of 2010.
